Primary recruitment at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln allows incoming and current students to gain membership into a Greek organization. At UNL, primary recruitment is a mutual selection process where a potential new member has the opportunity to better understand the Greek community and each individual chapter. The University of Nebraska-Lincoln participates in values based recruitment that allows potential new members to find a chapter that has similar values as themselves. The week of primary recruitment ends with Bid Day, a day where women are offered bids and the opportunity to join a chapter and the Greek community as a whole.

Hi Ladies!

Congratulations on your decision to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln! We are so happy to have you here! The next four years will play a huge role in your future so it is important to think about you who you want to surround yourself with. The recruitment process will bring you in contact with many women, opening new doors for you as you begin your collegiate career. I am so excited that you are choosing this process. The Panhellenic community is full of young women pursuing their dreams and passions; we know that you will fit in wonderfully among us.

Joining a sorority offers an experience unlike any other. It gives you endless opportunities whether that is through leadership experience, academics, volunteering, or networking while being surrounded by inspiring women the whole time. At Zeta Gamma I found myself surrounded by an unbelievable support system. These are women who are beside me through all seasons of life whether that is something as simple as a study date at the library, to encouraging me as I further my professional career. A sorority offers you a sisterhood where you will make friends that last far longer than your four years of college - but women to support you every step of life.

While the recruitment process is long it is a journey worth going on. I hope you find a home here at UNL full of women who empower, encourage, and embrace you. Phi Mu has become my home and I hope it becomes yours as well. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to me. Zeta Gamma could not be more excited to meet you Pledge Class of 2020!

Wishing my best,

Drew Burris
