Our Phi Program (new member experience) is an eight-week program that enhances the Phi Mu collegiate experience by helping new members transition into Fraternity membership. New members will learn about Phi Mu's rich history and begin to form bonds with other members.  Weekly Phi meetings are directed by our New Member Educator and provide new members with the framework for personal, academic, social and professional growth.

Big/little week is one of the most memorable parts of the Phi Program. Everyday, new members come to the house to find gifts and clues to who their big might be. At the end of the week, bigs reveal themselves and welcome their new littles into a growing family. Finding a family you can turn to helps make you feel even more at home in Phi Mu.

Inspiration Week, better known as I-Week, is one of the most meaningful times as a Phi Mu sister. New members will reflect on the past eight weeks, and really think about what makes Phi Mu special. New members will spend time with each pledge class and their bigs to celebrate the upcoming initiation. At the end of the week, our new pledge class initiates into Phi Mu and joins the sisterhood for a lifetime. As an initiated member, you continue the journey in Phi Mu getting to know all sisters and develop a support system that will last a lifetime.

Hi Ladies,

Starting college is such a huge change that when I came to the University of Nebraska, I was unsure about adding a sorority to the long list of new things I would be taking on. But now, I can say that joining Phi Mu is one of the best decisions I have made!

In the short few months I have been a part of this chapter, I have seen myself quickly change into the person I have always wanted to be. I have gained confidence in myself like I never expected, skills that will benefit me for life, and most importantly, close lifelong friendships from the women I now call my sisters.

I am beyond excited to begin my role of helping our new members learn about all things Phi Mu. Being a part of this chapter has taught me the importance of being surrounded by a strong, supportive group of women, and I can’t wait to share that and more with our new members!

Best,
Erika Vasek
